About: Store notes about players so you don't have to remember who they are. For example, if someone is very kind, if they are a ninja(steal items), if they gave you good items, if they are good to party with, what their class is, their tradeskills, who their alts are, anything you want to save.
BETA IMPORTANT NOTE: The versions: blizz-4215 v0.3.x-Beta *DOES NOT* convert old data(The data format has changed is the reasoning for this). It does save seperate notes for different realms. If you don't care about that, or, if you do not want to have to re-enter your list, DO NOT download the beta version.
(I'm really busy, I'll try to write a data converting version soon. I'm releasing this without a converter because I figure that this mods users know what they are doing, or can at least figure out how to print their saved settings. I suggest printing out the PlayerNotesData section of your SavedVariables.lua that way you will remember what you had. Path to that file is WoW/WTF/Account/LOGINNAME/SavedVariables.lua it's a text file, open it with notepad/editor of choice, search for"PlayerNotesData" and you can print that chunk of text)

Notes: Works with latest blizzard patch. (Currently /plist and /flist do nothing, its a placer for working on being able to add/remove from the games friends and ignore lists if the user chooses)
Installation:
Copy all the files to World of Warcraft\Interface\AddOns\PlayerNotes
(create the directories if they do not exist)
Commands:
/playernotes
/pn
/pn help
shows help
/pn add<name> [<class>]<description>
adds player<name> with<description> to the database. (Optionally saves player class).
/pn delete<name>
deletes player<name> from the database.
/pn list [(class|desc|name)<pattern>]
Lists players in the database. ( /pn list ) If type and pattern are given, you can search by class, description, or name. ( Example: /pn list desc herb ) Should support Lua type regex's. (Regular Expressions)
/pn read<name>
reads the saved note for<name>.
/pn set<name> (<class>|<desc>)<value>
Sets<name>'s description or class to<value>.
Examples:
/pn add john His first char, but he learns fast.
/pn add bob priest herb and alch.
/pn edit john class rogue
Features:
-colored text (colored by class name)
-save name, class, and description(open to save any info you want) for each character
-can search the list by class, name, or search the description for a string. (regex's are supported)
-when searching with list, the output will only be X chars wide, defined by user (to prevent 1 player from taking up more than one line. If you want to read full description, use /read )
Coming soon:
-text colors can be user defined
-save different name lists based on Realm
Tip: I mainly play on one server, but for the 2nd server, I prepend my chars description with"ServerName" that way You can do"/pn list desc ^ServerName" to get a listing of just that server (I will add realm support, its just a work around untill its in)
Eventually will be added:
GUI
-notepad like UI to read and write the notes
-allow pasting of quests to the notepad (like you can paste quest into chat)
misc
-saves a database per realm, instead of one database
-listing will check if player is online
-maybe auto check class name and level (from friend list)
