MiniBid is an solution for really short-termed auctions, default auctioning time is three minutes. If you want to sell some stuff quickly and don't want to bother with the AH and it's bugs, you now have a little tool to help you.
MiniBid is quite flexible with the format of prices in general.'1234' works and means 12s34c.'12s 34c' is the same as'12 s34c' and'12g' is the same as'120000'.
COMPATIBILITY
This version is tested under 4216 (deDE), but it should work on any US Client, too. Language is EN and DE, depending on the client used, french people are invited to translate the localization.lua and submit the translation to me.

STARTING AN AUCTION
First off, you start your auction using slash commands (/mb or /minibid both work):
/mb start ItemLink StartPrice [duration=n]
Starts the auction on the linked Item in'ItemLink' to the desired minium price. The parameter'duration' is optional and specifies a duration for this auction that differs from the default.
Examples:
/mb start [Linen] 1s
/mb start [Linen] 1s duration=1
/mb start 50x[Linen] 50s
/mb start 12 [Linen] 50s
/mb start 12 x [Linen] 50s
The last examples show how to sell more than one piece of one item.
The auction is then advertised with a customizable string (see"HOW YOU CAN CUSTOMIZE MINIBID FOR YOUR NEEDS" below) on a set channel (like Trade) and the bidding can begin.
HOW PLAYERS CONTROL THE AUCTION (BIDS AND MORE)
People have three choices:
1) Bid:"/w'PlayerName' bid'Amount'"
Where'PlayerName' is - well - you ;) and'Amount' is the amount they want to bid. Furthermore, to not bid a fixed amount, but to bid more than the current highest bid, you can prefix'Amount' with a little plus sign:'+10c' bids 10 coppers more than the highest bid.
2) Request help:"/w'PlayerName' help"
Displays a little help text to the users who don't know what to do
3) Request the auction's status:"/w'PlayerName' status"
This will send them a message, indicating
* What item is auctioned
* Whats the current bid (if any, else: how much is the minimum bid) is
* How long the auction still runs
HOW YOU CAN CONTROL THE AUCTION
To list the current bids, you can type
/mb status
which will give you an ordered table with players names and bids.
The auction ends automatically and whispers the winnerthat he won.
ADJUSTING DEFAULT SETTINGS
To set the channel and the default duration for auctions, use
/mb set
Lists default values for auction duration and Channel to advertise on.
/mb set channel=n
Sets the channel for all following auctions to the channel with ID'n'. Use /mb set channel=p for advertising on party chat or /mb set channel=g for advertising on guild chat. Setting this works only while no auction is held.
/mb set duration=n
Sets the duration of all following auctions to'n' minutes. Setting this works only while no auction is held.
HOW YOU CAN CUSTOMIZE MINIBID FOR YOUR NEEDS
Open the file localization.lua and you will find the definitions for all strings, either presented to you, to the Channel or to your users. You see little marks like %strItem% in there. You can insert the following tokens in there and they will be replaced by their corresponding values:
%strPlayer%: Your name
%strItem%: The auctioned item
%iPrice%: The desired minimum price for the item in numeric form (123456)
%strPrice%: The desired minimum price for the item in textual form (12g34s56c)
%strStartTime%: The time the auction started
%iDuration%: The duration of the auction [saved]
%strEndTime%: The time the auction ends
%iMinutesLeft%: The time left in minutes until the auction ends
%strTimeLeft%: Time left in mm:ss format

/mb help - Display help text
/mb start Itemlink Price [duration=n] - starts the auction on'Itemlink' for minimum bid'Price' and an optional duration of'n' minutes.
/mb set - List settings
/mb set duration=n - Set default duration for all following auctions to'n' minutes
/mb set channel=n - Set advertising channel to channel #n
/mb status - List auction status

FURTHER PLANS
- Include a"Buy Now" option
- Enable the user to delete bids (for the funny ones out there) and
- Perhaps block these users automatically forever or just this auction
